Small business
An LLC needs a door, not a brand film.
An LLC is a filing with the state. It is not a website. After the paperwork, a stranger still needs a door: the name as it should appear, what you do, a phone that works, photos of the work. Sunbiz does not replace that. A gold seal PNG on a black page does not replace that either. People mix those up after they file. They type “website for LLC” because a checklist said they need an online presence, or a registered-agent upsell mentioned a domain, or a cousin said the company is not real until it has a logo film. None of that is the filing.
We do not form companies. We do not give legal advice. We are not a registered-agent service. We do not file your annual report. We build the page people actually open. You can operate as an LLC with no website. You can also have a website with no LLC. They are different products. If you already filed, the next useful object is usually a URL that loads. Same idea as a website for a new business and the first website checklist, only with a legal name in the footer if you want it there.
What to put up after the filing
| On the site | Skip on day one |
|---|---|
| Legal name or the DBA you actually use — pick one and be consistent | The articles of organization as a PDF nobody will read |
| What you sell, in one sentence | A 40-page brand film |
| Phone and a form you answer | A members portal for vendors |
| Towns you actually serve | “Serving all 50 states” if you do not |
| Photos of the work | A stock skyline of a city you do not live in |
| Hours, including the closed stretch if you are seasonal | A blank News page you will never write |
- A logo is optional. A typed name is a mark. You do not need a logo to get a website.
- Email on the domain is useful. It is not required to launch the page. Launch the page. Fix mail next if you need it. Email on your domain.
- We will not write legal disclaimers you did not send. If you have a required line, paste it in the brief. We will typeset what you hold. We will not invent a contractor number or a “#1” badge.
- Three to ten photos from your phone of the work, the room, the truck. Daylight. No stock skyline. Phone photos beat stock.
- The domain if you have one. If you do not, buy the name. A parked domain is not a website. After you buy a domain.
Articles of organization, EINs, operating agreements, and registered-agent mail are not homepage content. Put a mailing address on the site only if you want strangers to use it. We hide our street on purpose. You can hide yours. We will not invent a public storefront you do not have. If you trade as a DBA, that is often the headline. The legal LLC name can sit in the footer. Be consistent with the Google listing. Seasonal hours belong on the page if you actually close. Seasonal shops.
$49/month, or wait
$49/month hosted website if you only need a URL for a bank, a venue, or a Google listing: hours, phone, three photos. Pay on /sale/. Brief. Draft. One revision. Most standard jobs under 72 hours when the brief is clear. Phone (813) 328-6079. Forms notify tampasbestdj@gmail.com.
The $49 hosted plan: $49 down, then $49/month. You will pay twice, because they are two builds, not an upgrade coupon. Sometimes that is still rational: you needed a URL on Monday and you can wait on design. Sometimes it is cheaper to skip the pack and buy the site once. We will not upsell you in the pack interview. Cart, app, members, 200 products: not this price — quoted separately. Do I need ecommerce.
Filed on paper, no customers yet, DMs already work? Nothing yet. Stay in the app. Come back when someone asks for a URL and you wince. Instagram can stay. It is not the office. Instagram vs a website.
What an LLC website is not
It is not proof the filing went through. It is not a registered agent. It is not a compliance dashboard. It is not a cart unless you asked for a store quote. It is not a ranking package. Basic SEO on day one is a title, a meta description, and Open Graph so a share is not a blank square. A brand-new domain with no page history will not “show up everywhere” this week. We will not say it will. We do not promise #1 on Google. We will not put a fake street address on the site because someone told you NAP is SEO. If you work from a house, say service-area. Hide the street. That is how this shop lists itself. Finish the Google Business Profile if you have one. That is a different product. We do not promise the map pack.
A blog. You do not have a publishing habit yet. A blank News page is a closed sign. Do I need a blog. A chatbot nobody staffs. Ten service pages with the same paragraph. The clock on a standard job starts when payment is in and the brief is usable. Waiting a week on photos is not a 72-hour job. Stock photos of a city you do not live in are how the page looks like every other new LLC. Send the jobs you actually finished, even if the phone pictures are ugly. Ugly and true beats pretty and fake. See what to send in the brief.
Hire path: /hire/. Live work: /work/ — Dodo, Pets Helping Pets, Tampa’s Best DJ, LazerMerch, petcalendar.pet, US Helping the World. Honest: those are ours, not a wall of invented client logos. Labeled samples for trades: /examples/. Worldwide, 24/7. Bill is in Tampa / Zephyrhills. Florida LLCs are still this shop. New LLCs in other cities are still this shop. No public storefront. Towns: /where/. Put the door up. Then go do the work the door describes. The filing was the paperwork. The site is the phone.
Free next step: already have a parked domain? Paste it. Ready for a door? The $49 hosted plan: $49 down, then $49/month.
